Hello

To those seeking individual counseling

I am a person first, professional second. I passionately believe in the "Wounded Healer" concept, which involves the entirety of the human experience in the healing journey and not just a transaction-minded clinical approach. Your life means more to me than you becoming a client in the queue. It means that I have been given an assignment greater than the provision of a treatment plan. It means we have met for such a time as this, and that there is a reason everything I have learned along my path is now being delivered to you. The counseling relationship is sacred because of you giving me your trust, and I am honored by the opportunity because I understand its significance. The truth is life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself. So if you are ready to make some changes or would like to explore how I may be able to support you, let me know and we will begin that journey.

For professional organizations

The time for improving quality of care to clients and increasing the health and longevity of employees is right now. There have never been more treatment centers, counseling providers or support programs in history than there are now due to the ever growing need for mental and emotional stability. If you would like to improve employee morale and motivation, retain faithful employees that seem to be slipping from your grip, train staff on assertive communication skills, or provide short term solution focused clinical services for your staff, contact me to discuss how I can help.

For church leaders and ministries

Since giving my life to Jesus in 2003 and up until beginning my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology program at a Christian University in 2014, I struggled deeply with the question of whether or not psychology and the Bible could co-exist practically and theologically. Thankfully God answered my concerns by confirming without a shadow of doubt that there is room for clinical science in the Christian faith. However, stigmas surrounding mental health still exist in the church and how ministry leaders shepherd their flocks today. If you are interested in making an impact on breaking down these stigmas and reaching people more deeply and effectively, schedule a consultation so we can discuss how I can support your vision, mission, and team.

My Story

I am working hard on the development of this section. It is a challenge to function as a professional counselor following a laundry list of ethical considerations on disclosure, while also being a born again believer of Jesus Christ with a recovery journey like no other who believes in the healing power of a testimony. Some clients prefer to know nothing about their therapist and want to remain 100% focused on themselves on their healing journey, and that is appropriate and how things should be. I can and do provide this therapy. However, as a wounded healer (a provider and recipient of therapy), there is a natural desire and spiritual obligation to share wisdom obtained through the historical and anecdotal lens of lived experiences which can often connect and unite us more than divide or distract us. It is this balance that I am trying to achieve in sharing "my story," which means more to me than a resume. If I left the womb desiring to be a mental health counselor in Peachtree City, Georgia, this web section would be easier to write; but our stories are not ever linear from point A to point B. To better understand how I came to serve people in this role, some context ought to be provided in order to earn your genuine trust that evolves deeper than surface level. For now, I will just say that I did eventually desire to become a counselor during my second deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan. But I am more than this. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a New York City born woman, daughter, sister, wife, mother, U.S. Air Force Veteran, animal lover, worship leader, entrepreneur, business owner, encourager, teacher, aspiring author, and a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor. And I am grateful and honored for you to have visited my page.
