Service Description

I provide individualized bio/psycho/social/spiritual assessments and follow-up counseling tailored to your goals and needs. Every client’s journey looks different—counseling can be deeply reflective and emotionally challenging, or at times feel inspiring, like a motivational coaching session. Together, we may focus on building skills, strengthening resilience, or exploring deeper insights through clinical approaches such as neuroscience, strengths-based collaboration, and evidence-based therapies. Examples of client goals include: Reducing or eliminating suicidal thoughts Strengthening self-esteem Modifying anger or behavioral patterns Making major career or life decisions Healing from childhood trauma Improving relationships or resolving marital concerns Gaining clarity on whether challenges are biological, environmental, or both In our first sessions, the goal is for you to feel comfortable sharing your story. From there, we will identify core issues—often overlapping across multiple areas of life—and create a plan to address them. Counseling can be transformative, often uncovering insights you may not have expected, leading to lasting personal growth and a higher quality of life. My approach is integrative, drawing from: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Psychoanalysis Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Additional therapeutic methods, interventions, and techniques developed through a decade of experience I also rely on intuition, clinical experience, and interventions I’ve refined over the years to provide the most effective care possible. As a Christian with a background in spiritual care and biblical education, I am led by the Holy Spirit and can offer faith-informed counseling upon request. At the same time, I am committed to serving people of all faiths or none at all, in full alignment with the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics. To schedule this service or to ask any questions you may have, send an e-mail to tara@restoringgroundscounseling.com with your name, contact information and brief request details and I will return your message within 24-48 business hours.
